Back in 18th century, the Education System was
established with a basic purpose of imparting knowledge. Knowledge of things
that governs each and every aspect of us.
From the mechanics of human body structure to the laws of the unending universe, the schools and universities that we linger on, guarantee to provide us the ins’ and outs’ of every single molecule of it.
How intriguing that is!
From the mechanics of human body structure to the laws of the unending universe, the schools and universities that we linger on, guarantee to provide us the ins’ and outs’ of every single molecule of it.
How intriguing that is!
- But is that actually happening? Or have we become a cogwheel where things are going on and on but nothing substantial is being produced?
Undoubtedly, the main intent is of learning. And to understand
this in a better context, we must clarify what actually learning is.
What is
learning?
- By definition, Learning is the process of acquiring new, or modifying existing, knowledge, behaviors, skills, values, or preferences.
The
Traditional Path
Everywhere you go, you’ll be told you must learn. Learn whatever
you want to. But no one tells how to do it? Because no one knows it. At most,
they advise to take up a course of that particular domain by getting into a
college or an institute.
- If you’ll look at the people who are the idols of today’s times— Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Jack Ma, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and anyone you pick— they had either dropped out of their formal education or flunked the university exams. They were passionate about what they were going to create. That's what drove them to the top.
But most of us don’t have the grit and resilience to follow an
unconventional path that is uncertain. We ourselves stick to the curriculum and
walk the path everyone is walking.
Because its’ safe and credible.
Because its’ safe and credible.
Wanting
the Right Thing
We all want the best for ourselves. And to acquire the best, one
has to strive for it.
- Very rarely it happens that we ask ourselves the right questions about what we want out of anything we want to do. But it is the most critical task to perform. Because when you ask the right questions, you get the right answers.
There is nothing wrong in joining an institute that offers you a
degree or certification in whatever you intend to pursue. But your intent
behind joining the course is what makes all the difference. You want to get
into a particular course because it is the most demanded in the eyes of the
recruiters or it offers the hottest salary packages.
Or you genuinely want to learn that the thing is all about? Means
you actually are fascinated by its’ mechanism.
- You really want to learn how the concepts of Physics operate or you want to learn how to score 90+ marks in it?
The Right Way
of Learning
Everything is a process. Life is a process and so is death.
Falling in love and falling out of it, both take time. I believe, we are very
well versed with it. But when it comes to learning, we are always in a kind of
hurry to accomplish things and in that pursuit, we lose it all in one shot.
- Researchers and scientists are working hard to understand the mechanism of learning. And they came up with a neat outcome that holds firmly when it comes to learning. Accordingly, if you understand the process of learning, you can apply it to anywhere and everywhere.
The above pyramid is self-explanatory. The more you’ll get hold of
it, the more you’ll see as how wrongly we had been taught each time and at
every place.
Awakinn’s Philosophy
Being a prey of the same rotten educational system, the Awakinn’s
seed was sown with the prime focus of changing the way of learning.
Because if
not now, then when?
The Three Pillars of Awakinn
I Do it
together
Let see it this way, why you enroll yourself in a gym membership? Because
it provides you an environment. The ambiance of the gym sets you in a mood that
you feel the ease of working out.
The same energy and vibes we have imbibed in Awakinn’s Developer Hub. Here, one gets to interact with other like-minded coders and grow with
them by learning from them and at the same time teaching them. It’s quid pro
quo.
II Learn
through Making
There is a proverb that we have heard numerous times, but rarely
follow. And that is: practice makes a man perfect. And in reality, yes it is.
If you just fill yourself up with the information and don’t implement it, then whatever
you have accumulated is a waste as it will wither in no time.
- Our minds don’t have the capacity to retain each and every information. We got to revive it again and again, and again and again, and again and again till the point it becomes our second nature.
At Awakinn, we follow a two-way path. We not just deliver theoretical knowledge, but at the same time, we present you with projects so that you work on them and analyse how much you have learned and how much more efforts you need to put in to achieve mastery.
III Exploration
We live in a time where everything can be availed by just a click.
That’s comforting, but also lethal. It kills the innate curiosity of human
minds. The amount of efforts one has to put in finding anything have just gone
to negligible.
At Awakinn, we don’t just focus on presenting you the day-to-day
advancements happening in the world of technology. We are tech freaks and we
want you to yourself take the pains and explore other aspects of life. Because no
matter how technical dependent we become, at the end of the day we are humans
and we carry a soul that seeks adventure.
From the very beginning, we give the power in the hands of students
as we believe in the freedom of individuality. Every individual is unique and
comes with its own set of skills and caliber. At best we do is push the
envelope a little more and empower them by directing them to the right path.
